Creature Innovation Studio (August 24-28): Club Creative Summer Studio Series

$125.00

August 24-28, 2026

10a-noon

Ages 6-12

At Creature Innovation Studio, art meets curiosity and every project feels like a joyful experiment waiting to happen. This inventive series invites artists to think like makers and problem-solvers as they explore movement, materials, and design through hands-on creation. Artists become inventors as they design a one-of-a-kind feeding machine for their chosen animal, explore texture and light with embossed metal animals, and create a bold mixed-media canvas inspired by scientific blueprints.

What a Typical Day Looks Like

Each day follows a gentle, structured flow that balances instruction, creativity, and free expression, so kids feel confident, supported, and excited to come back.

10:00 – 10:10 | Arrival + Creative Warm-Up
Kids arrive, get settled, and ease into the day with a simple drawing prompt or hands-on starter activity.

10:10 – 10:30 | Project Introduction + Demo
We introduce the day’s project, show examples, and walk through techniques in a way that’s easy and fun to follow.

10:30 – 11:15 | Create Time (Main Project)
Students dive into their main project with guidance and encouragement, while still having room to make it their own.

11:15 – 11:25 | Snack + Reset Break
A quick break to recharge. (Students bring their own PEANUT-FREE snack.)

11:25 – 11:50 | Continue + Personalize
Students return to their projects to add details, experiment, and complete their work.

11:50 – 12:00 | Clean Up + Share Time
We clean up together and end with a relaxed, optional share moment.

A Quick Note

Projects and daily activities may vary slightly depending on the group’s pace, interests, and creativity. The overall structure and experience will remain consistent, while allowing flexibility for each group to fully enjoy the creative process.

Meet Your Instructor

Hi, I’m Tenesha. I’m an artist, mom of three, and the owner of The Ruby Gallery & Events.

I’ve been teaching children’s art programs for years through both my business, Cornflower Creative, and local organizations like Allied Arts and ESD123. My approach blends creativity with structure, giving kids the freedom to explore while feeling supported and confident in what they’re making.

As both an artist and a parent, I’ve designed these studios to be engaging, hands-on, and thoughtfully paced, so kids leave proud of their work and excited to come back.

All classes are held in a small group setting to ensure each child receives guidance, support, and encouragement.
